Your Dependent Dies

Steps vary depending on whether we're discussing your:

• Spouse or Child
• Domestic Partner

 If Your Spouse or Child Dies

• Contact your departmental administrator. Ask him or her to change your:
  • Marital status in the payroll system (in the case of a spouse's death)
  • Tax withholding status
• Notify the Benefits Office as soon as possible.
