The steps you need to take if you start a job at the University vary,
depending on whether you're:
If You Are New to the University
- Contact your departmental
administrator to find out what the deadlines are for completing and
submitting the:
- U.S. Department of Justice Employment Eligibility Verification
Form (Form I-9)
- State
and Federal Tax Withholding Form (Form W-2)
- Pick up your University identification card from the Campus Card Office in
the lobby of Regenstein Library, once you are on the payroll system.
- Review
the information in the benefits packet given to you by your
departmental administrator. Complete the forms for the following
benefits within 31 days of employment.

- Long-Term Disability
- Group
Life Insurance
- Personal
Accident Insurance
- Flexible
Spending Accounts
- Qualified
Transportation Program
- Contributory
Retirement Plan (if you are a full-time employee)
