You Leave the University

Before you leave the University:

  • Contact your supervisor. Let him or her know in writing that you will be leaving the University.
    • Biweekly Employees: You should give a two-week notice.
    • Monthly Employees: You should give a four-week notice.
  • Let your departmental administrator and, if you are a member, the University of Chicago Credit Union know what your new mailing address is as soon as possible, if it's changing.
  • Return your University key(s), pagers, campus card, and any other University property to your departmental administrator on your last day of work.
  • Make the appropriate changes to your benefits. For details, click here.
