Our Mission:

Employment Services coordinates, evaluates, and advises on activities associated with the University’s recruitment processes.

In partnership with departmental administrators and hiring managers, Employment Services ascertains the University’s non-academic permanent and temporary staffing needs and develops strategies by:

  • providing consultative services regarding recruitment efforts and salary decisions;
  • advertising positions, attending job fairs, conducting phone screenings and applicant interviews, performing reference checks, testing applicants’ skills;
  • identifying potential applicants for a position through networking and online resources;
  • communicating University employment-related policies and procedures; and
  • providing training on employment matters.

Our Services:

Employment Services is available to assist departments with the following:

  • advertising jobs;
  • performing telephone screens;
  • conducting preliminary interviews;
  • testing applicants’ skills;
  • conducting reference checks;
  • providing training; and
  • diversifying applicant pools for all positions, including those identified as underutilized for women and minorities.

Employment Services is also available to assist the University’s current and laid-off staff employees by:

  • reviewing resumes;
  • conducting mock interviews; and
  • providing an introduction to the application process.

Current and laid-off University staff employees can schedule appointments directly with Employment Services staff for these services.
