Access a Whole New World Online

In an effort to continue to improve services to employees, we've reorganized the University Human Resources Management (UHRM) Web site to make it easier for you to find information. The new Web site has a different visual presentation, and it provides information that was not available on the old Web site. Find out:

What's New

UHRM Home Screen

The first screen of the UHRM Web site — the home page — easily directs you to the main areas within University Human Resources Management. Blue arrows point you to areas such as Benefits, Compensation, and Training and Development. Behind a black button, you will also see a new section called "Life Events."

The home page also contains black tabs at the top of the screen that are links to useful information. (You'll find these links on virtually every screen in the Web site.) The tabs include:

  • Help — Click on Help to become familiar with common Web site terms and to learn how to get around a Web site and how to enter data.
  • Feedback — Click on Feedback to access the Benefits Office's e-mail address, if you wish to tell us what you think of these pages or if you have an inquiry.
  • Contacts — Click on Contacts if you are looking for a particular person you wish to contact in UHRM.
  • Forms — Click on Forms if you are looking for a specific UHRM form that you wish to print from your computer.
  • Site Map — Click on Site Map for an overall view of what is available in the UHRM Web site. The Site Map is like a table of contents in a book. You can click on any of the screens in the Site Map, and you will be connected to that section.
  • Search — Click on Search if you are looking for specific information or if you are looking for a particular section within the UHRM Web site.

Life Events

The Life Events section was developed to help you when certain events occur in your life which may affect your benefits.

This section contains general steps of what you should do when a life event occurs as well as explanations of how your benefits may change as a result of a life event. There are also links within each life event to other screens in the Web site that provide additional information.

What's Improved

Benefits

The Benefits Web site was introduced during Open Enrollment in 1998. This site has been updated and expanded to include the full range of University benefits — from Health Insurance to Vacation to Short Term Disability.

Contacts

We recognize that you may have a variety of questions and you don't always know whom to contact in UHRM for answers. As a result, we've reorganized the contact list into topic areas:

  • Benefits
  • Compensation
  • Employment Services
  • Retirement Issues
  • Systems
  • Training and Development
  • Labor Relations
  • Personnel Policies and Workplace Issues

To quickly find a particular person, we also have included an internal staff directory.

You can find the link to Contacts in the black tabs at the top of each screen.

Forms

We have made many of the forms you may have to complete available to you online. Forms have been included in both PDF and MS Word formats to meet your needs.

The Human Resources forms list is organized into topic areas:

  • Benefits
  • Compensation
  • Employment Services
  • Systems
  • Training and Development
  • Labor Relations
  • Personnel Policies/Work Issues

You can find the link to Forms in the black tabs at the top of each screen.
