Work Study Forms Processing

Purpose

This form has been developed by Human Resources to add Work Study eligible University of Chicago students to the payroll system along with the attachments listed below.

U of C students arrange interviews; department makes selection.

Personalized Work Study employment forms can now be downloaded by students at http://cmore.uchicago.edu. In order for a student to access their Work Study form, they must have a cnet id. Please have students visit http://cnet.uchicago.edu in order to claim their cnet id.

Attachments:

  • I-9 forms (Furnish documents to prove citizenship/eligibility to work in United States.)

Note:

  • Tax forms and Alien Information Request Form (if applicable) should be sent directly to Payroll.

Student Operations verifies job code, pay rate and screens for multiple job hour restrictions. Student assignments are then entered into the payroll system.

The current work study program is funded as follows.

  • Work Study split 75/25% (subject to change)
  • Community Service 75/25%
  • Reading Tutors 100%
  • Math Tutors 100%
  • Registered students: 19.5 hour maximum
    Unregistered students: 40.0 hour maximum
